Leave a copy of your travel itinerary with your family or friends.
If you are travelling in a tour group, do not separate from your group or travelling companion.
Keep all your travel documents and valuables in a hotel safe or safe deposit box, if available.
Never carry a large sum of money in your wallet or purse. If you do carry money, it should be kept in your front pocket or a specially design travel pouch i.e. money belt.
Do not wear expensive jewelry, watches, or accessories in a public place. Women should keep their purse or hand bag on their lap or in direct view while dining.
